In addition to developing, elaborating and offering process and plant concepts for the production of polypropylene, our range of activities also includes the development and optimization of polypropylene catalysts and propylene polymers, their testing and evaluation, as well as technical consulting and support for licensees on our way to zero carbon processes.
For Lummus Novolen Technology GmbH in Mannheim/ Germany we are looking for a Product Manager Catalyst (m/f/d) to join our Catalyst Business team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning, coordination and evaluation of catalyst qualification runs
- Providing and coordinating technical support to licensees on catalyst related topics
- Training of and providing technical support to Novolen Plant Support Engineers
- Providing technical oversight of catalyst manufacturing improvement projects
- Providing technical guidance in respect to catalyst manufacturing excellence and quality control
- Development and cultivating of long-term customer relationships
- Preparation and giving of compelling client presentations to promote Lummus Novolen’s catalyst portfolio
- Marketing / promotion of the Novolen PP catalyst portfolio on a worldwide basis
- Conducting of market research and gathering of competitive intelligence
- Formulation and implementation of product strategies & marketing concepts
- Identification and development of new business opportunities at existing Novolen operations and new licensees
Qualifications:
- Professional with a technical background in PP / polyolefin catalysts, with a minimum of three years’ experience
- Master's Degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field or relevant experience
- Strong scientific and technical abilities
- Fluent business English skills are required, German skills are beneficial
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities
- Problem solving attitude
- High degree of self-motivation and personal energy
- Understanding of different cultures gained through accumulated international experience
- Team player
- Willingness to travel
